“I have had an amazing experience at your Nassau store.”
I have had an amazing experience at your Nassau store on Sunday March 21 which I wanted to share with you. I was on a cruise that week and bought a necklace at your Cayman Island store for $179. I wore it only once and the next day noticed that the clasp was broken. A few days later our ship was stopping in the Bahamas and as we entered the dock I noticed the Diamonds International store in a pink building. I had about 30 minutes before we were set to embark on a little boat bringing us to a private island for the afternoon – so I went to your store and tried to get them to fix the necklace or give me another one. As they didn't have another one they offered to fix it but since they couldn't do it in the 20 minutes I had before the departure of our little boat I left them the necklace, gave them my information and said I would come back later that day as we were leaving the island at 5:00.

After a great afternoon on the beach and upon my return to the dock I rushed back to the store around 3:30. As my friend and I were walking towards the store we noticed that many stores were closed…. As we approached the pink store we could see a barricade halfway down in front of the store's entrance… I was struck with the thought that we were Sunday and that maybe stores closed early in Nassau! I couldn't believe that I would have to leave the island without it. When we reached the store I saw someone inside and we were let in. It was then about 3:45 and the manager of the store, which I had met early that morning, was still there although, I was told, the store usually closes at 3:00. The manager, Mr. Kash Jagyasi informed me that he was waiting the return of the young women who had served me in the morning (I think her name is Yixelis), whom he had sent to the ship to try to find me. He then got a hold of the young women by cell phone and she came back running (in her high heels!!!) my necklace in hand.

I was very happy to retrieve my necklace but I what really makes me happy is this wonderful story of dedicated personnel store staff that I will remember every time I wear my necklace. The piece has now become much more precious to me than its dollar value as it now represents a high level of commitment, dedication and excellence in service. Considering the value of the jewelry that is sold in your stores, this was definitely not a big item and I had not even bought it in that store, nor in that country. But more importantly, I must admit, that I was not a really nice customer that morning – I was unhappy that my necklace had broken, I was stressed about time and just wanted to go to the beach. So I has been a bit abrupt with both the manager and the employee. Notwithstanding my attitude of the morning they both went out of their way and cut into their own personal time to make sure that I got my necklace back. Wow! This is truly amazing and so appreciated! I have been telling this story to all my friends and you can be sure that I will be looking up your stores in my future trips! If all your employees have that level of dedication you are an extremely lucky, or very competent employer.
